Charity walk, kites and car booty finds

We went on a woodlands walk for Fair Havens hospices on Thursday. My sons did really well and raised a good amount of money for them. They also enjoyed the funpacked walk and activities that were held at the Little Havens site.

Lets go fly a kite!!
Look at my very pretty Cath Kidston kite!!!Squeal!!!
I was very impressed, it flew very well, unlike the boys horrible stunt kite which didn't even get of the ground!! HEE HEE. Oh for traditional designs!!
Our little fold up kite did a bit better, so the boys weren't too disappointed.
Our local church held a 'You can do it day' on Saturday. Both boys iced biscuits and my eldest potted this Sunflower. (oh Lord, please don't let me kill it!!!) I am not good with plants!!
He also made 2 cards for birthdays coming up. I think he did very well!
Now, whilst the 2 oldest boys in the family were off fishing. The little one and i took ourselves off to Lazybones carboot sale (it doesn't open until 10:30, so no getting up extra early!)
I found this little lot.
A great plate and bowl for 50p for the boys. A lovely tray for 5op, a never been used boxset of a lovely story that i've been wanting to get, with 3 little bears inside for £1, and a lovely Beatrix Potter shopping bag and a cook book for 50p.
I had a quick flick through and have decided to share some lovely recipes with you.

I also got this fab umbrella for the littlest for 20p.
I was a happy shopper!!
Have a good week ladies
xx

Looks a great fun day out. And well done to your two boys. Sounds like they do you all proud!

Love you CK kite how gorgeous is that! And it works better than all those technical boys toys. My DH has one of thease techincal quite frankly ugly kites, and he spends most of the time fiddling about with the thing rather than flying it.

Some lovely finds at your car boot sale too! love the idea of a later car boot. Hopefully that might catch on! lol.

Have a lovely day.

Lovely finds, and what great activities over half term, too! We have no half term here, but I am looking forward to a huge and picturesque Vide Greniers on Mother's Day (that's Sunday, for us). I hope I'll have as much luck as you did...

Thanks very much for adding your name to the guest list for my Garden Party. It's going to be fun!

What a fantastic looking walk....... I loved the wooden toadstools! I wanted to wish you luck with the sunflower, my kids planted one each at a school fair over the summer and I was given one for myself by a friend. I too am not very god with plants and hence they all died, I will keep my fingers crossed that you have more luck than me.......... X

Hi, I love the toadstools on your walk!

I remember always taking our boys out too fly a kite when they were younger; they always had loads of fun (if we could get the kite in the air).

I will keep my fingers crossed for the sunflower…love Lou xxx
