Scrummy loveliness........

You may know that Easy Living is my favourite magazine, it has everything. Abit of fashion, food, make up, therapy, homes and stories. When it comes through my letterbox i get so excited. I have a quick flick through and then enjoy reading it that night in bed. Today i was doubley happy when i got the free Cath Kidston washbag (don't forget to get yours). Really pleased that it was the design i wanted. There isn't so much on homes in this issue, but i wondered if that was because it came with a copy of the CK magazine. He is some of the loveliness for you to have a look at: I love love love this kite!! And the pretty cutlery set.
This could tempt me to try camping (i did say 'could')

Who knew that frisbees could be this pretty.

I remember making little gardens in icecream tubs as a child. This one is really pretty.
Now i must show you the lovely giveaway i got from Sesga for replying to her blog first. I was ment to just get the cutter, but she gave the heart templates and a lovely silk print (she carved the stamp design herself, clever lady!!). I haven't made many cards for a while, i also used to do scrapbooking, so these lovely items have given me an incentive to start again. Thanks Sesga x

Question time????????

I saw this on this lovely blog that i've just found. I thought i'd have a go as i love answering questions and love even more finding out the answers of others!!

The zoo and carboot.......what a perfect weekend!!

On Saturday we took the kids to Colchester Zoo. If you haven't been before i recommend it, it's one of my favourite zoos. The penguin feeding is great!!

You can feed the elephants too!!

This made me laugh, it's like they are mourning the death of their friend!! Don't worry, he did get up!
My first experience of feeding a giraffe!

What a scary picture!! The people aren't us by the way.

It was a lovely day, and we had great weather.
My lovely nan used to have a collection of deers/ or Bambis as we used to say. Most of them went when my Grandad moved to a retirement home after she died. Now that my Grandad has gone into a home my mum and uncle are having a sort out. I have now become the proud owner of this Bambi. I love it.
I went to a carboot yesterday and came back with this little lot for £2.10!!
Some Humphrey Corner pics for the littlests room (they need abit of a clean). A lovely easter tin, Some lovely books that i read as a child, and an Alfie book (i love Alfie!!). And 1 little button, you can just about see it at the bottom of the Alfie book.
I also picked up this pretty glass bottle for 50p. Kirstie inspired me with her stained glass in her bathroom!!
I also picked up something lovely for A Thrifty Mrs for our freestyle swap. I've had to pack it away so i don't keep it for myself!!
Hope you have a good week ladies

These top watercolours are from Majorca, I love dolphins and i've had this shoe pic, taken out of a magazine for about 15 years, i don't know why but i just love it.
My husband got a friend to bring these back from Russia for me. I remember playing with my mums Russian dolls as a kid and always wanted my own.

This picture shows a card from some friends to my husband, Badges, a lovely doll from Liberty's that i love and wish i could afford (so i keep the pic up instead), a pic of my eldest as a baby in a plant pot (cruel aren't i?) and a little flower that my hubby drew for me when colouring with the kids. I thought it was so sweet that i got him to cut it out for me.Some of my lovely teatowels.

A bag that held birthday presents from my hubby one year, now it holds some of my summer scarves.

This is a pot that my dad made at school when he was 9.

Some more lovely pics and things. The gargoyle is called groggle and belongs to my mums friend, she printed up these notecards.

This fab bowl is from TkMaxx, i love it even though it doesn't really match any of my other things. I like to use it for popcorn when we have guests over.

Trying to do my bit....

I have been veggie for about 18 years or so. I bring my children up veggie too. They have the right to choose to eat meat if they wish when they can make up their own minds. My eldest is set on being a veggie for life at the moment.

Today we went to the Veggie show in London. I thought i'd tell you abit about it.

I don't want to rub your faces in it, so please don't think i'm trying too. I'm just letting you know abit about my beliefs/interests and our day. I include buys, recipes, and places to go.If you are interested read on:
It is a lovely day out even if you eat meat as theres lots of food samples and things to buy. My eldest made me this bag and a lovely mask, he took ages!! It's ment to be Spiderman.

His spelling of Vegetarian made me chuckle to myself!! But what a good try!!
We are members of Viva! and this veggie recipe club.
I like the sound of this!!
I have made sure i haven't put any graphic pictures on this blog, it can be pretty disturbing. I can't believe that some of the pictures and clips (click on links if you do want to see) i have seen would not stop and make you think.

I like this magazine from Viva! i think it is very informative. If you want to read, please click on the pictures or get a free copy from Viva!

We bought some bits too! My son got this cute kitten, the money raised goes here.
I bought a very yummy date and walnut cupcake from here.
We often buy Trek bars, they are abit pricy. So we buy them at shows in bulk and save a fortune. This is one i hadn't tried before - it's sooo yummy.
I picked up a new magazine.
I got these freebies.
This is a great magazine, veggie or not!!
How cute are these cupcakes!?!
Lovely buys!!
This looks scrummy!
Some adverts of lovely places and things:

My cupcake came from here, and hopefully a big yummy birthday cake for me in May!!
I have written about this before - it really is fab. If you are near Bath please consider it even if your not veggie. My hubby loves it.

I've heard lots about this place, i'd love to stay here one day.
Please let me know if any of what you see changes your thinking? Maybe you'll cut down on meat/dairy, or consider going veggie/vegan, or just consider signing petitons to help stop animal cruelty. You could even just buy some veggie/vegan products - there are lots that are yummy, healthy and lovely!!

Thanks for taken an interest in a cause close to my heart, LissyLou xx
